Earning a Living
My sister in law is probably hands down, one of the best cooks there is. Pastry, meat, chicken, cookies, just about any type of dish that you could think of, she can cook it with relish, and with the most superb taste.
With her husband working overseas, she not only has to make sure the money is properly budgeted but after bringing the children to school and doing the clean up at home, she still has ample time on her hands.
Instead of just waiting for the time to pick up the kids, we started marketing her items on the net. It was quite difficult at first, because you can’t really easily sell food over the net, because people would almost always want to sample a taste first.
So we targeted people in our area and had them check the net for different types of pastries that my sister in law has already baked. Several people inquired and started ordering.
With online auction, we allow only two customers the most, to have an order for that specific day, so the customer who makes the highest bid would have a cake, pastry or any type of dish ordered. We made sure our customers would post their comments after they sampled the dish.
Bidding and online bid were also interesting features that makes selling your services more appealing to customers. If they see that several customers are vying for your services, they would really think that you are good, and your products are worth dashing for.
